Using the Bible as our foundation we will honor God by growing in faith and love, sharing Jesus and giving generously
Spirit of Hope Worship
At Spirit of Hope Lutheran Church we have an informal worship style. Come as you are, wearing whatever attire you feel comfortable in. Some of our worshippers wear suits and ties or dresses while others come in shorts, jeans and T-shirts. Our services are mostly a blend of traditional hymns and liturgy and more contemporary songs. Our musical accompaniment is done on piano and keyboard by our very talented accompanist, Stacy Fahrion. A praise band leads worship once a month.
Sermons are commonly taken directly from the Bible as we "preach through" entire books of the Bible. Past books have included Ephesians, Matthew, Nehemiah, 1, 2, 3 John, 1 & 2 Peter, 1 & 2 Thessalonians, Titus, and Acts. Currently we are reading and preaching from the Gospel according to Luke. Prayer requests from the congregation are taken at the beginning of worship and included in the prayers of the church.
Spirit of Hope celebrates the Lord's Supper each Sunday and has an open communion practice. All who believe and confess that Jesus is Lord and their Savior are welcome to come and receive Holy Communion. Children grade five or age ten who have not yet had communion instruction are welcome to come and receive a blessing. Grape juice and gluten free bread are available for those who need to receive the Sacrament in that manner. We believe that Jesus is truly present, in with and under the elements of the bread and wine as we eat and drink.
Come and join us and worship the Lord with a grateful and joyous heart!
